Handmade...

I love receiving handmade things!

It means someone has put a lot of thought into your gift...

Christmas Highlights:
  1. A very tipsy Great Gran.
  2. Discovering that Polaroid printers exhist to replace the polaroid cameras that are no longer available.
  3. A very large christmas meal.

Roll on 2011!

Driving Home For Christmas...

So we had our Christmas Meal...

Then waved goodbye to the South as everyone went their seperate ways home for Christmas.

My Friend, one of my Flatmates and I loaded up my car (called SKY) and set out on the long journey home ...further North from the little white flat.

Sky couldn't have been anymore packed!

And then soon after we had set off, it began to snow...

I hope that you all manage to get home for Christmas as well!

You've got mail...

There is nothing better than waking up one morning and realising that you've got a letter in the post (bills excluded).

I absolutely love receiving things in the post from friends and family far away.

(my letters draw)

It was a shame when the postal service stopped during the thick snow,
but i'm sure my christmas cards are well on their way now...

Dec the Halls...

This evening my flatmates (and our adopted flatmate who lodges down the road) caught the bus into the city centre for a little bit of late night christmas shopping...

I really do love accessorize!

(our adopted flatmate)

After visiting the main shopping centre we popped to Asda to buy cheap value decorations for the white flat.

 Merry Christmas!

You make my heart go giddy-up

This weekend I waved goodbye to the snow and festivities outside my window and travelled even further down South.

In the name of love...

unknown source (unfortunately)

...because someone captured my heart when I was only a girl quite young.

Here is a little gift that I received.

(from paperchase)

I and LOVE and SNOW

A few days ago I was sitting with some friends in the white flat, when the snow arrived.

Enjoying the snow, in the very early hours of the morning is what student life is all about, i'm telling you now.

Waking up the following morning to find that Uni is cancelled for the next couple of days, is also a pretty darn good feeling.

We made an Igloo...

 ut oh...snow!

...followed by a trip through the winter wonderland of the nearby common.
Hot chocolate in a nearby Pub and snow ball fights...

As my welsh friend would say, it was:

Lush.

House Hunting

So the time is already here (after only living down South for 2months!) to start house hunting again.

You see, we need somewhere to live next year that isn't quite so pricey- goodbye white flat *sigh*

(google images)

So on this freezing november morning we headed out alongside a friendly letting agent with a small red mini.

Let's just say, some student accomodation smells really bad...and the bathrooms...

But we did find a Jem <3 Whether it will still be available next week or not is another matter entirely.
It was (compared to our cosy white flat) an absolute mansion. The bedroom alone was double the size of mine...and mine is not exactly pokey.

I really should start using my own images, maybe add a few doodles of my own. (might have to borrow my flatmates scanner though, as my electrical devices are pretty bog standard).

Anyway i'm about to go christmas shopping with two of my girlfriends. Let's hope the city centre isn't heaving...
